Beach Front Barbeque

On Saturday, a day off was scheduled in order to get settled in the city. We chose, instead, to sacrifice this free day in favor of visiting Professor Cossu's beach house, where he and his students from Padua were staying for the weekend. It was a tough call, but I think we made the right choice.

Some of the students from Padua arrived around 3:30 to take us to the house, but not before Ted and Maggie got trapped in the elevator. Luckily, they escaped just in time for a ridiculously scenic drive to the beach. 

We arrived at the house and headed straight down to the beach for a swim in the Mediterranean.  

We stayed until it began to rain and we were forced to head back up to the house where a delicious meal awaited us. 

We spent the rest eating and drinking and making friends with each other and with the Italian students and had to be dragged away at the end of the night.
